Before listing your products, make sure we allow it on archiveshoppingbahamas.com, and find out if we have specific rules and conditions on how you should list it. Check the list of prohibited and restricted items below.
You also need to make sure that the sale of your item complies with all laws and any additional restrictions applicable to payment services offered on archiveshoppingbahamas.com such as credit card association or network rules.
Make sure your listings and products follow these guidelines. If they don’t, they may be removed, and you may be subject to a range of other actions, including restrictions of your buying and selling privileges and suspension of your account.

While you can sell food, beverages, grocery’s and other products on archiveshoppingbahamas.com.
Maintaining the safety of our community is a responsibility we take very seriously.

What to do if you see an item that isn’t allowed

If you see an item that violates one of our policies, report it by clicking Contact us.

1. Our Alcohol Policy:

We generally don’t allow the sale of alcohol until pre-approved by archiveshoppingbahamas.com and  can list wine on archiveshoppingbahamas.com, providing they follow our rules.

  • Sellers must be approved by archiveshoppingbahamas.com before listing wine
  • Approved sellers must abide by our Terms & Conditions when listing wine and include all required information in their description
  • All other types of alcohol are not allowed, including wine from non-archive approved sellers
2. Requests for approval to sell wine

To become a licensed seller of wine on archiveshoppingbahamas.com, start the registration process by uploading a copy of your alcohol license to sell wine here.

You also need to enter your archiveshoppingbahamas.com username in the comments section of the document upload page.

3. Required information to be included in the description for approved wine sellers

If you’re an approved wine seller, you’ll need to include the following in each of your listings:

  • A link to our alcohol policy page:
  • Alcohol policy
  • The buyer’s age requirement
  • Language which lets buyers know that the seller has been pre-approved by archiveshoppingbahamas.com prior to listing wine

Terms & Conditions for Sellers and Buyers of Wine

Limitation of liability:

Both buyer and seller expressly acknowledge and agree that archiveshoppingbahamas.com shall not be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages or lost profits (however arising, including negligence) resulting from or in connection with the sale of property on the archiveshoppingbahamas.com site.

Representations & warranties:
  • Each seller represents and warrants that:
    • The seller of the wine has the right, power, and authority to sell the wine
    • The owner of the wine owns all necessary and required licenses to lawfully carry out wine-related transactions on our site, and deliver the item to its purchaser
    • The recipient (and buyer if different from the recipient) has proven he or she is 18 years of age or older prior to delivery
    • The transaction will comply with all country commerce laws, including all laws around delivery and fulfillment
  • Each buyer represents and warrants that:
    • The buyer of the wine is at least 18 years old
    • The recipient of the wine is at least 18 years old
    • The transaction will comply with all government laws
Indemnification:

The seller is solely responsible for compliance with all laws associated with the sale of wine. The seller indemnifies archiveshoppingbahamas.com of all responsibility associated with this sale. It is therefore the seller’s sole discretion of the completion of the transaction based on its ability to assure that the transaction is in compliance with all laws associated with the sale of alcohol.

Age:

Wine delivered by sellers requires the recipient to be in possession of photo identification confirming they are 18 years of age or older. The buyer, if different from the recipient, must also show proof of age.

Our Food Policy

Certain food products are not allowed on archiveshoppingbahamas.com. Listings for food and beverages that are allowed must follow our policy.

We take the health and safety of our members very seriously, so when listing allowed food and beverages, make sure to follow our policy.

The following and similar food and beverages are not allowed:

  • Unpasteurized dairy products (except cheese that follows government guidelines)
  • Unpasteurized fruit or vegetable juice
  • Wild mushroom (except for morel and shitake mushrooms)
  • Ackee fruit or seeds
  • Expired food
  • Government assistance benefits that can be used for food

When listing food and beverages that are allowed, sellers must:

  • Ensure food and beverages are properly packaged and stored safely
  • Clearly state the expiration date in the beverage description
  • State how perishable (food) will be delivered, and ensure they are delivered to the buyer before the expiration.

Our Food & Beverages Safety Policy

Food and beverages that pose a health or safety hazard aren’t allowed.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our members, archiveshoppingbahamas.com does not allow listings for Food and beverages that are banned, recalled, or could in any way be dangerous to a buyer.

About this policy?

The following types of items are not allowed:

  • Products recalled by a manufacturer or another government agency if the sale of the product is prohibited by law or regulation. Current information can be found on the Safety Gate: Rapid Alert System website
  • Items that pose a health or safety hazard as specified by any government agency

Sellers can list the following types of items:

  • Items subject to a recall but not prohibited by law, as long as the listing includes the recall information

Administratively ending or canceling items, demoting all items from search results, buying or selling restrictions, and account suspension.

Our Rules & Policies for Buyers

Fraudulent claims and abusive buyer behavior
Buyers who engage in activity as described in the Abusive buyer policy may be subject to a range of actions, including the loss of archiveshoppingbahamas.com replacement and exchange coverage, issuing warnings to buyers, blocking buyers from requesting returns or refunds on archiveshoppingbahamas.com, blocking buyers from opening claims, and account suspension.
Activity that is not allowed includes, but is not limited to:

  1. A buyer opening duplicate requests or using other methods;
  2. A buyer filing a chargeback after receiving a refund;
  3. A buyer claiming an item was not received when there is proof of delivery to the buyer’s address on the Order details page;
  4. A buyer falsely claiming an item was not as described;
  5. A buyer returning an item other than the original item received;
  6.  A buyer using or damaging an item and then returning it.

Our Abusive Buyer Policy

Our abusive buyer policy lays out unacceptable buying behavior.
Buyers may not misuse our reviews, returns, or buyer protection programs.

What should I do if I think a buyer is making an unreasonable demand?
You’re not required to agree to any extras or changes from the terms of your listing.
If a buyer is making demands that are not a part of your original listing,

  2. Requesting a delivery service not offered by the seller
  3. Requesting the seller deliver to an address other than what you included in checkout
  4. Requesting to use a payment method not offered during checkout
  5. Requesting the seller hold your item so you can pay later
  6. Requesting a partial refund without returning the item
  7. Request additional items or services not included in the original listing or asking for a discount
  8. Finding an item on archiveshoppingbahamas.com and taking the sale off archiveshoppingbahamas.com.
Allowed:
  1. Select the delivery service offered by the seller when you checkout
  2. Updating your address in your archiveshoppingbahamas.com account before you checkout
  3. Pay for your item through a payment option offered at checkout
  4. Returning an item in accordance with the seller’s returns policy
  5. Purchase items according to the terms included in the original listing
  6. Finding an item on archiveshoppingbahamas.com and completing the sale on archiveshoppingbahamas.com;
  7. Claiming an item was not as described when the item you received did not match the description in the original listing;
  8. Returning the original item that was received in its original condition
  9. Returning an item with the reason that it was not as described when it was described inaccurately
Don't make false claims:
  1. Claiming an item was not received when there is proof of delivery to the address on the Order details page
  2. Falsely claiming an item was not as described
  3. Claiming an item was not received when it has not been delivered by the latest estimated delivery time frame
  4. Don’t misuse replacement, exchange or returns:
  5. Returning an item other than the original item received
  6. Using or damaging an item and then returning it
  7. Returning an item with the reason that it was not as described when it was described accurately.
Replacement and exchange:

Replacement and exchanges can be requested by the buyer and/or seller.
Exchanges are based on value of the original purchased item,
with current and equal value. For Returns and exchange see stores policies.

Our Shipping Policy

We provided a shipping or delivery options available for stores to use. However, Stores or Sellers can also create there own shipping or delivery option, or pickup in stores during listing of there products.
Stores are advised to use the best option suitable for their stores during listing of products for fast and efficient delivery to their customers.
Also, Stores may decide to offer free delivery or free shipping it they choose to offer on their products or for a particular product.

Refunds to Buyers:

We refund buyers to their original payment method or option used during checkout.
In the unlikely event that we’re unable to send refunds to the original payment method, we will contact the buyer.
Refunds can only initiate after the seller approval or a decisions was made on favor of the buyer.
